Aurora Memorialis

Picture this: a person floating in stasis, in an alpine lake, a body of water, surrounded by an outside world. Raindrops falling on their face. Their full being, mind and body, are unmoving. Eventually, a memory begins to surface in their mind, and they dive into it. This piece explores that experience, one of being in stasis, entering a memory, and exiting a memory with new realizations. Maybe it is a sad or harder memory to enter that surfaces, or maybe it becomes dream-like. What does one hear when floating in water? What does one experience when a memory surfaces?
