Four Dances Within is an original composition that explores some of the emotions humans are capable of experiencing. Movement 1, “Flow,” explores the feeling of having unstoppable driving determination and being in the flow state. Movement 2, “Encountering,” takes on a vastly different persona as it depicts having a tender insight into one’s own being. Movement 3, “A Joyous Waltz,” embodies the act of being curious in one’s life. The final movement, “A Somber Dance,” has some tango influence and tries to explore a confused state of being, somewhat somber, but very dance-like and determined. Ultimately there is a release of tension near the end, bringing the piece of music to a close.
